How does this service work?
Music Dissociation is a complex task that involves using a series of patented tools to disassociate music from an original recording. It is extremely useful when the Film and Television industries are redistributing older content to foreign markets.
When an older TV show is set for release either on DVD or for foreign territories, often the music licenses have expired or there is a need for different music. Audionamix can now effectively address this formerly unsolveable problem, offering an alternative to the costly and time consuming activity of renewing outdated material and licensing agreements. The cost to re-license music is very expensive; by dissociating that music from the rest of the recording, be it film or television, and replacing it with cost effective music, a network can reduce the cost to distribute the older film or television show. This service isolates the dialogue track in film and television content. This allows the inclusion of the original foreign dialogue in new restored M&E tracks for international release.
Until the mid nineties, it was not uncommon for the separate dialogue tracks to be discarded after the final mix. Without the original dialogue tracks, it was not possible to create new enhanced mixes and re-mastered version, so only older audio versions were integrated in the re-releases. By isolating the original dialogue, one can now enhance and re-master legend titles for foreign distribution and digital distribution channels.
